A tractor-trailer driver was operating his big rig while drunk on Long Island early Monday, April 13, according to police.
Frederic Mejia, 35, was arrested after multiple people reported his tractor-trailer failing to maintain its lane on the Long Island Expressway through Brentwood, the Suffolk County Police Department said.
Suffolk County highway patrol officers responded around 7 a.m. and located the truck, cops said. Investigators determined Mejia, a Bronx resident, was driving the 18-wheeler while drunk.
