Hamden Man Convicted In Deadly New Haven Shooting Of 27-Year-Old Learns His Fate
A Connecticut man will spend decades behind bars for a deadly shooting that left one person dead and another seriously hurt in a New Haven neighborhood.
Treyvon Battle, 35, of Hamden, was sentenced to serve 80 years in prison on Wednesday, April 22, the Connecticut Division of Criminal Justice said.
A jury found Battle guilty of murder, first-degree assault, criminal possession of a firearm, and carrying a pistol without a permit in January.
The charges stem from a shooting that happened on May 27, 2017, on Dickerman Street in New Haven.

Hamden Man Arrested After Lengthy North Branford Child Exploitation Investigation
North Branford police have made their first arrest after a long-running investigation into local sharing of child sexual abuse material, authorities said.
Hector Felix-Melendez, of Hamden, was arrested on Tuesday, Jan. 13, and charged with first-degree possession of child sexual abuse material, North Branford police said.
Felix-Melendez was being held on a $200,00 bond, authorities said.

Police say a Hamden man is behind one of Norwalk’s largest storage burglaries.
Tylon Gardner, 35, of Hamden, was arrested on Wednesday, Sept. 10, after a yearlong investigation into a break-in at Cubesmart on Bouton Street in Norwalk.
Authorities said 89 storage units were entered, and among the stolen items were firearms.
